The Raven Descends

Works of fiction are not my usual genre, neither is anything vaguely historical! ‘The Raven Descends’ is both of those things, but it is so much more.

The prologue grabbed me by the hand & pulled me into the saga; the proceeding chapters only served to immerse me further. Sophie has the amazing ability to paint a mental picture with clever use of imagery; she mixes that with an epic storyline fusing aspects of Celtic & Norse culture, a bit of romance & characters with personality, giving you no choice but to be absorbed by this beautifully woven tale of ancient magic.

The design of the book has a Celtic vibe featuring intertwined borders, the addition of a map & glossary to aid the reader are very nice touches. If you’re after a gripping read then this first book in the ‘Druid Scripts’ series is well worth a look.
